In 1971, me, Bobo Stensson and Palle Danielsson formed Rena Rama. Very soon Lennart Åberg joined the group. Quite early on we did a half hour long production for swedish tv. This was recorded at a stretch and we started by playing on a balinese gamelang (this might very well be the precise moment where world music as you think of it, infiltrated jazz) to a prerecorded percussion tape; from there, moving on to our regular instruments.

In 1973 we did an album for Caprice. The band existed for a couple of decades with varying personnel.
