In the seventies I spend a couple of years in Ghana with my family learning some Ewe drumming and some xylophone from Kakraba Lobi who later visited Sweden.

Kakraba Lobi passed away in the summer of 2007

I also learned from and was a member of Ammasu Akapoma Group in Brong-Ahafu region.

One outcome of my studies was the Bitter Funeral Beer Band which is also releasing live recordings from two concerts in the 80's at Country & Eastern.

Another one is the Travelogue Sample CD with loops, recorded by me in Ghana.

Here are some samples of the samples:
Children playing
Royal drumming
Rural hi-life
Musical bow
Funeral xylophone
Grinding song
